4th of October - Chris Lowe's Birthday

Today's Pet Shop Boys' Chris Lowe's Birthday...
Feliz Cumpleaños Chris! Happy Birthday!...
... a continuacion mi mensaje para Chris, el mismo que escribi en uno de los links que se encuentran en su sitio oficial... following my message for Chris, the same I posted on one of the links that figure at their official site...

For the Artist, a Master of pop, a Legend, and the Human Being, in your 50th Birthday... all my love, and I wish your dreams will come true; and these words are for you...
Your Birthday is a Celebration of life.
I've always admired the way your music reflects your creative genius and glowing, enthusiastic, charming person you are... I don't know you in person but I know you're that special one.
I love the elegance and feelings of your melodies that make of your electro-pop something so unique.
Thank you Chris... your music has always cheered me up, and lighted up my life, and that's invaluable.
For Pet Shop Boys' Chris Lowe... I'd like to say... brilliance and simplicity in one...

- Spanish words, lovely, adorable, I love when the Pet Shop Boys speak in Spanish...

the third time I'll see you... and a wish

Neil and Chris...
"I believe, call me naive, that love is for free"...
Call me naive... but I write this with the hope that you'll read it if sometime you come across with my blog...
... so... anybody who'd like to can read this, but... I'll write it as if it was addressed just to you... no matter if you never see it... and no, this is not a sign of madness... just... maybe... a sign of a "little pretty madness" for the Pet Shop Boys...
... feelings... are there words for them?... I guess no, really... words are never enough to capture not even a bit of that love and fascination... and sometimes words even imprison the deepest feelings we've got inside...
Then I get back to your music, and everything's there.
Your lyrics.
Grateful.

I must be about fourteen when I first saw your "Always on my mind" film for this song being played on a tv music channel, and even less when I listened to "West end girls" being played on a radio here at home, and I guess that was the first time I heard of you.
That's a long time ago... but since then it's been my dream to know you personally someday.
I love your songs, I'm just a Pet Shop Boys admirer... or call it a fan... whatever... labels are not my thing, really... but I only go to see your shows, when you come to Buenos Aires... something that should happen more often, as I'd wish to...

In fact... this will be the third time I'll see you on stage... because I've already seen you live twice, in 2004 when you played at the Personal Fest, and in 2007 when you brought your Fundamental tour show to the Luna Park.
But I never got to meet you.
I remember both times very clearly...
... but your appearance at the Personal Fest in 2004 particularly marked me...
That time, when your show ended, I stayed myself staring at one side of the stage -your left-, so at that moment, Neil, you walked down the stage in a rush, and walked quickly towards the car that was waiting for you there.
Chris must have been already into the car, because I didn't notice him.
So... I run towards the fence, to see Neil get into the car that was just a few metres away from me, but I didn't reach him. Sad. I'd have liked to say something to Neil.
So the car started to move off, and I just stayed there, a bit frustrated I guess now...

... that's a vivid image in my mind, actually... somehow frustrating I guess, or maybe it's just about seeing its inspiring side... but probably it's just part of loving an artist...
... in spite of that... to see you live on stage singing the songs I've always loved is quite an experience that has always left marks in me, in my heart, my feelings, my life; and there are no words for that feeling.
... now... I'm anxious to see you in October... and... it's not easy to wait two or even three years time to see you again... so... let me tell you this... maybe you'll think it's corny... or maybe it's just another sign of that what I call a "pretty madness" for the Pet Shop Boys... but it's just that, when your show ends, I'm already wondering when you'll come again...
... so... this will be the third time I'll see on stage... and my wish of meet you personally someday is always in my heart.
I guess that... these are beautiful lyrics to end up my little lines... I'd like to say... quoting you, "In the air I can feel something magical becoming real"...

Yes...

... their new album is brilliant.
I listen to it over and over again and all I want is just to keep on listening to it forever...
It's amazing what they've done... to my thinking, something completely new and original, while they've kept their style at the same time, at every moment of each song's running time.
"Yes" is so Pet Shop Boys.
It's always surprised me the way they've always reinvented themselves, and so now, just giving my opinion, I guess they've explored new 'shades' of kind and gentle melodies, and I love so much their final result.
I think they've given us the best of them once again through this album, and... Neil and Chris, I love your new songs with all my senses, both the melodies and the lyrics, so introspective and sensitive.
And I guess autobiographical some of them.
I love "Yes".
And Neil... I've always been in love with Neil's voice... his voice is like a caress to my hearing... to me, doesn't exist a voice as lovely and sweet and deep, Neil's voice is so pretty unique.
I like all their songs from "Yes", but my favourite are "Love etc.", "All over the world", "Did you see me coming?", "More than a dream", "Building a wall", "Pandemonium" and "The way it used to be", I mean, I always find myself in the mood for listening to them... the Pet Shop Boys are simply unique.

Sweet
you're always on my mind
you take me back
to those days
to that time
where I find myself
awake at night
lying down on the sofa
falling in love
with a film
like a strange puzzle
of fascinating scenes...
